However, not all American areas are experiencing the same rates of infection, with a new data breakdown by US News & World Report revealing the 10 states with the highest STD rates. Mississippi was the state with the worst overall STD-infection rates nationwide, with an overall infection rate of 1,266 per 100,000 residents.
